WHY ALUMINUM?
BENEFITS OF ALUMINUM CAN WATER BOTTLES
For years, RAIN Pure Mountain Spring Water has worked to help our community understand the benefits of aluminum can water bottles. We’ve made it our mission to help end our unnecessary and harmful dependence on single-use plastics. Still, though, we understand the convenience of bottled water; that’s why we provide a sustainable aluminum packaging option that’s better for the environment and for you. With 1 million plastic bottles being used every minute, we know we need a lasting resolution now. The benefits of aluminum can water bottles are tremendous. Let’s work together to maintain plastic-free environments and oceans that we can all enjoy.
Rain Vs them
Aluminum
RECYCLED 70+%
Aluminum has inherent cash value, meaning it actually gets recycled. “Recyclable”=/=”Recycled”
INFINITELY RECYCLABLE
Aluminum maintains its quality when recycled. Bottle after bottle after bottle…
COOLS IN 20 MINUTES
Cold water, fast.
NO MICROPARTLICLES
…because its not plastic
Plastic
RECYLED 9% OF THE TIME
Single use plastics, like those in bottled water, are only recycled 9% of the time, and made from only 3% recycled material.
DOWNCYCLED ONLY
Recycled plastic must be mixed with virgin plastic to make bottles. That means more oil and a polluted Planet.
COOLS IN 2 HOURS
Heres some science: plastic is less thermally conductive than aluminum. That means it takes foreverrrrr to get cold.
MICROPARTICLES
93% of bottled water contains microparticles. Read as "you're drinking plastic."
Aluminum
ALL ALUMINUM
Made of aluminum.
EASY TO RECYCLE
Can easily be sorted, melted and made into something new at recycling centers. Back on the shelf as something else within 60 days!
100% POST CONSUMER
Made from up to 100% Post Consumer waste. Very little virgin aluminum is mined for the production of aluminum bottles
CONVENIENT SHAPE
Goes in a cup holder, backpack and on a bike ride. Round bottle, round hole.
BOXES
“BOXES” ARE NOT PAPER
“Carton” or “Boxes” are not what you think. These are manufactured by Tetrapak, Elopak, etc and made from layers of plastic, paper, and aluminum
DIFFICULT TO RECYCLE
Multiple layers need to be de-laminated to recycle. More often than not boxes are landfilled. Recycled at around 16%, that’s LESS than PLASTIC BOTTLES
5% POST CONSUMER
The majority of the materials in cartons are virgin
SQUARE PEG, ROUND HOLE
Our lives have been designed for round bottles. Try putting a square box in the round bottle cage on your bike, then let us know how it goes.
Aluminum
LIGHTWEIGHT
Only 14g per bottle!
TAKE ME EVERYWHERE
Aluminum is ready to go where you are. No glass shards here.
Glass
HEAVY
Glass bottles are heavy, about 10X the weight of the equivalent aluminum bottle. That's more fuel to ship both empty or filled.
OUCH!
Broken glass sucks. Its not going to the beach, the pool, on a hike etc.
